Although I went to the first Halloween party of the year on 25 August, I wanted to wait and write a post in case I had a chance to go to another party and get better pictures and videos. Maybe one year, I’ll have the time and money to attend more than one of Magic Kingdom’s Halloween parties, but 2017 was not that year!
Early last month, my family was discussing bucket list destinations, and my sister Maggie mentioned that she really wanted to go to New Orleans. I kept that in the back of my mind, thinking that it might be a fun sister trip to have someday.
Ever since I lived in Bradenton, several years ago, I had always wanted to go to Orlando’s Lake Eola Park. I saw things online about the farmer’s markets, craft fairs, and other events that took place there, and I always wanted to attend one of them.
Ever since my first spring visit to Disney in 2009, my favorite time to go to Epcot is during the Flower and Garden Festival, which runs from March to May. On that first festival trip, I was amazed by the topiaries shaped like characters.
Since the year started, I knew March was going to be incredibly busy, and it certainly was. It felt like almost every moment of my time was booked, but I still managed to enjoy myself every step of the way.
January was so fantastic that I really wasn’t sure if anything could top it, but February was even better! This month involved photography adventures at Disney and down in Bradenton, a trip to Savannah, a drastic haircut (donated 14 inches of my hair), and a 10k. I also feel like I’m still going strong on the goals I laid out for myself.
Last weekend, I went to Bradenton to visit my grandparents. I lived in Bradenton for a year after I moved back from Indonesia, and I immediately made myself at home in this glorious city on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
