I visited my grandparents in Bradenton a few weeks ago and took advantage of a sunny Saturday afternoon to explore one of my favorite places in the area, Palma Sola Botanical Park.
A few weeks ago, I wrote about how I spent a free day in New York. The morning after my bookish sightseeing, I woke up bright and early with the incentive of bagels for breakfast. Just outside our building, Times Square was bright but completely deserted at 6 in the morning.
I just finished reading a book set in Hong Kong and I got so emotionally involved in the setting that when I left my house to run some errands, I was genuinely shocked to step outside and realize that I was not actually in Hong Kong. Since I’ve been so expertly transported back to one of my favorite cities in the world, I thought I’d share a memory from HK that popped into my head today as I read.
