Monthly Update: July 2014

This month’s update is coming to you from Yogyakarta! Josh and I loved it here so much when we came here in December that we decided to come back here for our last holiday and to celebrate Josh’s 25th birthday. It’s been an excellent trip so far, and I’ll have some Yogya posts coming up over the next few weeks! For now, here’s my July wrap-up.

Monthly Update: March 2014

Happy April, everybody! March passed by in a flash for me, and now I’m already a week into my eighth month working at EF. Time is passing more quickly than ever! In March, I had a one-day trip into Singapore to renew my work visa, and Josh and I made our way into Jakarta a few times. It hasn’t been much an exciting month for either of us, but we’ve enjoyed ourselves.

Grand Indonesia

Indonesia

The rainy season has undoubtedly begun here in West Java, and EF has been piling on plenty of overtime during the past few weeks. These two things have been the main reason that Josh and I haven’t done anything exciting since our trip to Bogor at the beginning of last month; during the few hours that we’re not at school, we’re usually curled up at home or in a coffee shop with a good book  as thunderstorms crash overhead–not that we’re complaining about having extra time to read!
